When I joined Your Life I opted for the weekly payment option because I had a feeling my enthusiasm would fizzle out once the novelty wore off. Instead, here I am 4 years on & STILL committed!
The equipment is first class & with dozens of classes, I always feel spoilt for choice with workout options. I’ve found the trainers are amazing, their classes super fun & high-energy while being super friendly & approachable.

As Gavin had been my original instructor, when I moved to Port in 1999, I decided to join “Your Life” as soon as he & Amy had opened it in 2013. It is a decision I have never regretted as they have progressively expanded the facilities to its present high standard where it compares very favourably with most city gyms that I have experienced along the way.
Maintaining motivation is not always easy and sometimes the prospect of spending an hour or so out of the day is not very appealing. However when leaving Your Life after a session I ALWAYS feel better for having been there.
I set a personal goal of losing 10 kilos, which I achieved, and a bit more! Weekly PT with Kel challenged me and improved my overall fitness, her guidance and expertise gave me the tools to train more effectively and stay motivated. The Saturday group sessions with the other members made exercising fun. Something I never thought I would say.
Jessie and the other Your Life staff were supportive and encouraging each week, always happy to answer questions and have a chat. This is a great challenge, I have never felt more healthy, strong and motivated. I recommend the Shape Shifter challenge to anyone who wants to push themselves for a personal best.
This is the first challenge I’ve ever completed and I loved every part of it. The staff are very friendly which creates an awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend for any age or fitness level. Very happy with my results, bring on the next challenge. I enjoyed the whole experience!
Over the years I have been to a few different gyms and always found myself getting bored of the same old routines in the classes and not getting the results I was after. However, I had done a few different Bootcamp style training sessions that I really loved because you never know what’s coming, so you give it your all. When I moved back home from university, mid 2017, my health was my number one priority. I needed to get myself back in shape. That’s where the Shape Shifter Challenge comes into play for me. I joined the 2017 Shapeshifter Challenge with the goal of losing weight, a few kilos here and there. But I achieved so much more. I made new friends, my attitude towards a healthy lifestyle changed and I began to feel so much happier, healthier and more confident in myself and my body. Over the course of the challenge Kel and Jessie always took the time to have a chat about my progress and always offered help and guidance were I needed it in relation to my training and nutrition. Also I was continually motivated by the trainers and other members to push harder and to go that little bit further to reach my goals in sessions and in the weekly challenges. Little did I know that motivation and laughter during group training sessions would lead me to lose 10kg+, and completely change my body shape in just 12 weeks. There’s not a better bunch of trainers and fellow gym members to shed the sweat and kilos with!
I started Personal Training with Kel with the goal of losing weight, a few kilos here & there, but I achieved so much more. My attitude towards a healthy lifestyle changed and I began to feel so much happier, healthier and confident in myself & my body. Little did I know that I would lose over 10kg and completely change my body in the first 12 weeks of training with Kel. It might be tough to begin with and you will feel like giving up at times, but give it everything you’ve got and you will thank yourself later for not giving up.

Paul is not only a great trainer but also a wonderful person. With his always cheerful, patient and calm nature, he is able to motivate you even on days when you are highly fatigued. He is an extremely knowledgeable trainer who understands your limits and tailors the workouts to your individual needs. He helps you reach your potential every session and achieve your goals by progressing steadily. I cannot be more grateful for the opportunity to have Paul as my trainer and I highly recommend him to everyone.
I am so thankful to have Jessie in my life. My partner and I were feeling sluggish and unmotivated in ourselves and knew we had to do something about it. We decided to start weekly personal training sessions with Jessie and from day 1 we knew we made the right decision. Not only is she the most kind hearted person I know, she knows how to push you to reach your goals. I lost over 30 kgs in 2 years from working with Jessie not only with my fitness but also with my awareness of food. I highly recommend Jessie to anyone who is looking for a coach who will not just give them the correct path in fitness but who will also care for them along their own journey.


Since then I have participated in Circ-HIIT, Body Pump and Life Fit classes and recently completed the Shape Shifter challenge that focused on fat loss, muscle building and gaining strength.
At 43yrs of age, I realized something needed to change. I gave up the booze, started eating better and training 5 days a week.
My new normal starts with the mantra ‘Win the morning, win the day!’ I wake up early and take a class at the gym or do my own free weights on the floor. It feels amazing to start my working day knowing I have already achieved my fitness goals before 8:30am!
Your Life hasn’t only helped my health and fitness but I have also gained a whole new friendship group. Like minded women who unconditionally support and encourage me to be the best version of myself and keep me accountable with daily check ins. I would be lost without these amazing, strong, fit and healthy women.
The Trainers at Your Life have been awesome. Annie, Kel, Krystal, Jess and Tim have all had a part to play in my journey and I am forever grateful to be a part of such an incredible fitness family.”

After returning from a cruise last year, I was not happy with my weight. It was the heaviest I had ever been, so decided I needed to do something about it and joined Your Life Fitness at Port. With initial help from personal trainer Kelsie and Nutritionist Jessie Aylward, I 
After a 3D scan, Jessie set up a three week meal plan for me and this was repeated until the desired weight loss was achieved. The meals were enjoyable and easy to prepare. With ‘snacks’ as well, I didn’t feel hungry. I even had support from my husband and he ate most of the meals as well. The weight loss was slow and steady.
I am hoping to lose a little more before our next cruise in November, but having already lost 10.4kgs I feel a lot healthier, enjoying life and exercising more.
